MCA Consulting Excellence

As a firm completely committed to consulting, The Openside Group is proud to be an Associate Member Firm of The Management Consultancies Association (MCA) and a participant in the Association’s Consulting Excellence initiative.


MCA Consulting Excellence

In 2017 we authored the MCA’s Consulting Excellence Guide to Professional Development in Consulting Firms (2017) and helped to launch the Consulting Excellence Academy, a platform for professional development resources and debate, targeted at Consulting Excellence Champions and budget holders for HR, talent management and L&D within MCA member firms.

Consulting Excellence is the new badge of quality in consulting. It helps consulting clients make better buying decisions, promotes collaboration between clients and consultants, and helps the UK’s leading management consulting firms to recruit and retain the best people.

The aim of the Consulting Excellence scheme is to set professional standards for the management consulting industry as a whole and, through this, build greater credibility and trust.

Openside, as an Associate Member of the Management Consultancies Association (MCA), is delighted to support the scheme.

The Pillars and Principles of Consulting Excellence
To achieve ‘Consulting Excellence’, MCA member firms commit to adopting the Consulting Excellence Principles. The nine Principles are grouped under three Pillars of Ethical Behaviour, Client Service and Value, and Professional Development. They are closely aligned with Openside’s own values.
